TK Co Specialty Green Coffees and ENROOT ORGANICS Bulk Spices and Nutritional Supplements
I started in the green coffee importation business at the age of 15 when I was given an opportunity to physically unload containers of green raw specialty coffee sacks for sample roasting and cupping in 1982. It was a great introduction to green coffee roasting, cupping, that has taught me from the onset to appreciate this business in a way that many have never experienced.
I continued in the green coffee business when I joined with MP Mountanos Inc., in 1984 and full-time upon graduating from Santa Clara University in 1988. To put it into perspective, the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) that year held its annual convention in the lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel in New Orleans with 15 exhibitors. While I worked at MP Mountanos Inc., Mark and Linda Mountanos gave me the opportunity to ride the specialty coffee wave from 1984 until 2004. It was during that period of time that I gained an appreciation for working with small, medium and large scale retail and wholesale roasters in relation to green sourcing, quality control, blend and roast development, consumer product marketing and most importantly relationship building.
The specialty coffee business is based on relationships, and I have been fortunate to have established lasting relations in the coffee import-export world. “Coffee” relationships begin at the farm level and continue all of the way to the ultimate consumer.
Expanding to the world of organic spices and nutritional supplements has allowed TK CO to further grow its relationship base with global suppliers and customers. I am pleased and excited to work in conjunction with Harvest Commodities and Enroot Organics of New York to bring some of the finest products to the western US marketplace. We have current inventories of a wide range of products in our Los Angeles based warehousing facility.

As a solo entrepreneur, I started TK Co Coffee and Commodities. My present day mission is to help individuals grow and develop their coffee business.
From farmer to coffee connoisseur, my passion is to put people in the coffee industry in contact with each other. Learning from one another and appreciating the hard work, quality, and commitment that goes into the final product is essential.
